Why Fizz N Fuzz?

Ahhh yes, the age old question of why?  Well, here's the story (cause I LOVE a good story).
I'm a person that agonizes over decisions and so coming up with my web address, blog domain, etsy names etc seemed like a pretty big decision.  It's something I'm wary of having to change down the road, and realize it's the start of my branding and let's face it - branding is SUPER important.

As I always do, I started polling some friends and one friend in particular (Linda Wyatt from miSketch) came up with some pretty awesome (read: ridiculous) suggestions, including, but not limited to: "Farmer's Daughter", "After 5....oh snap!", "Suzy Sheep Farmer", and "Pints & Tartan".  After she got the Ridiculousness out of her system she came up with "Pints & Fiber" and then noted in the email "I love how I always attach you to beer."

Now, it's not that I drink a lot.  It's just that I really appreciate a good, quality beer.  Tea, beer, and fiber those three things do a good life make.  So I giggled and fell in love when she suggested Pints & Fiber.  I started seeing super cute illustrations of colourful yarn & fizzy beer. I polled my friends again and they all laughed and said "yep, that about sums you up. pints & fiber".  I started getting excited.

The only thing was.... hilarious as it well, it wasn't quite catchy enough.  I was excited but worried it didn't roll off the tongue, or stick in the brain.

Advising day came with WhiteFeather Hunter.  She's wonderful, a well known artist,  and one of my instructors.  She's all about social networking, so I ran my new blog name ideas by.  She also thought Pints & Fiber was cute, but definitely not catchy enough.  A good start though, she said.  She suggested doing a mind map, spewing out words related to pints & fiber and, just as an example, she said "you know, things like 'fizz & fuzz'."
OH MY GOODNESS!  Fizz & Fuzz?! How perfect was that??
and bam. a blog was born.

So, fizz & fuzz is an homage to lifestyle and love.  Fuzzy Fiber - yarns, fleece, fabrics, everything! The whole gambit, i love it! I love it all and want to be surrounded by it for the rest of my life!  Fizzy beers - ooo, dark ones, stouts, wheat ales, micro brew, porters, COFFEE porters (insert plug for Mill St. Brewery here), light crisp summer lagers, thick heavy winter beers.  I love em (in moderation) but I love em, I love trying them, tasting them, and enjoying them.
And, speaking of love, I hope you love this blog and find something in it that enriches your life.
